Volvo is exploring the luxury game with the latest India-bound XC40 SUV along with Inscription trim. The inscription refers here as a luxury package of the company that includes a bit of extra kit concerning the standard car to the inside and outside, still the mechanics' details of the car didn't get an update.
The top highlights in the car include chrome trim on windows, grille, tailpipes, driftwood interior design trim, wheels from 18 inches to 21-inches range, crystal gear shift knob, multi-zone climate control, and wireless smartphone charging.
The US-based variant is assumed to take power from a 2.0-litre petrol engine whereas India will get a 2.0-litre diesel engine. This car will have a lower state of tune when comparing with the XC90 and S90.
The car is likely to reach the Indian soil the latter half of the year by using a CBU route. Then, if the demand is high, then it will be assembled locally in the new Bengaluru plant.
