Nexa Marks 1 Lakh Cars Sells Unit in its Initial Year

Maruti Suzuki has accomplished a major success by planting more than One Lakh Cars into the hands of customers into its prior year with the help of its, premium car dealership – NEXA. The dealership has been a significant move by the car manufacturer, and has been operating in India since July 2015.

As told by Kenichi Ayukawa, MD and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India, the opening up of the Nexa retail outlets is in line with the car maker’s vision to achieve its mid-term goal of two million annual sales by 2020.

There is a whole success story behind this long chain of NEXA dealership which was cared by existing Maruti Suzuki dealership indulged into this new initiative and renovated their dealerships with full fledged investments and infrastructure for the ultimate premium outlets of automotive sales channel.

When the first S-cross was launched back in August 5, there were already 35 to 40 NEXA premium outlets prevailing in the nation and since than this dealership chain grew up to 150 in around 94 cities accommodating a decent number of 3,500 relationship managers to take care of the customer's.

Maruti plans to expand its horizon of NEXA dealership to 250 by next year March and for the matter of fact, the premium category of Maruti is expected to return 15 percent of sales by 2020 which stands out 3 Lakh cars per year through the NEXA dealerships. Talking about the available wheels in the dealership, Maruti Suzuki Baleno has attracted a decent amount of speculations from huge number of buyers while the other partner, Suzuki S-cross still waiting to show off its candidature.

By the end of June 2016 the dealership converted 28,795 units of S-cross to sales while Baleno managed to achieve 71,230 units adding up to total of 1,00,025 units for whole year. While the S-cross has a monthly sales average of 2,399 units and Baleno has averaged sales of 7,914 units a month.

In context of The Road Ahead, a prominent personality of the company RS Kalsi, executive director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India has to say, “To further enhance the purchase and ownership experience, we plan to provide customers enriching experiences beyond the showroom as well. We will curate new experiences around fashion and lifestyle, music and travel. These experiences will touch the lives of customers through international music festivals, fashion/styling sessions and long-distance drives. Rather than limit ourselves to selling cars, our aim is to forge relationships over the period of ownership.”
