Some times ago, the well known Korean automaker Hyundai had launched its Avante Sedan in Korea, which has been sold out in India with the name of Elantra. Now, this manufacturer has decided to give various or major renovations to its Avante next year and this runabout is expected to arrive in the Indian automobile market as a next generation Elantra sometime after its global launch. Its facelift model included subtle variations earlier in the beginning of this year, while its another variant holding major updates and is yet to be released alongside modified interior as well as improved exterior.
The current variant receives 1.6 litre diesel engine that produces a stunning power of 126 hp at 4,000 rpm and peak torque of 259 Nm at 1,900 rpm. However, it also gets 1.6 litre diesel engine to churn out an appreciable power of 147 hp at 6,500 rpm and maximum torque of 177 Nm at 4,700 RPM as well as the vehicle is available with both transmission options for a manual and automatic. On the other hand, its facelift model is anticipated to be set up in the country ahead of an upcoming next generation Hyundai Elantra.
This variant seems to hit the Indian ways in 2016 comprising renovated alloy wheels and LED daytime running lights for its headlights and LED taillamps between an approx range of INR 15-20 Lacs. The sedan will give big competition to the Toyota Corolla, Skoda Octavia, VW Jetta and Renault Fluence.
