Next Generation Lexus LX570 Officially Unveiled at Pebble Beach

After so many reports of spied images and other leaked features, the 2016 Lexus LX570 has been revealed officially at Pebble Beach Concours d' Elegance, this week. As compared to the 2015 version, this SUV has been transformed almost completely except the door handles that remain same in both the versions. The car gets a refreshed spindle grille, revised headlamps and the fog lights are embossed on a pair of chromed tips at either side of the front end. The rear portion receives new tail lights, re-designed bumper and there are 10-spoke wheels measuring either 20 or 21 inches.

From inside, the car houses a three-spoke steering wheel, 12.3-inch navigation facility, instrument cluster and the center console containing an optional refrigerator. The middle row is quite spacious and carries an 11.6-inch entertainment unit with touchscreen interface that comes as optional feature for the rear occupants.

There are three driving modes available with this SUV namely, Eco, Comfort, Sports and Sports Plus, which on activation, make adjustments in the powertrain as and when required. Several safety and comfort features are also available like 4-zone climate control, All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Pre-Collision system, wireless charging with Qi-compatibility and so on.

Power will come from a 5.7 litre, V8 engine delivering output of 383 Bhp and 546 Nm, which is also found in the current version. However, the 6-speed automatic transmission has been changed to an 8-speed unit that is in turn linked to an AWD setup. This new version of Lexus LX570 is likely to arrive at the showrooms by the end of this year. The exact launch date as well as the pricing details are yet to be revealed by the company.
