Often on special occasions like festivals or on the event of completing certain years in the market, automakers tend to entice the audience with attractive offers. Recently, companies like Volkswagen and Hyundai came up with their special edition models to celebrate the anniversary of Polo and Elite i20 respectively. Many car makers are also planning to bring their latest models in the upcoming festival of Diwali. Likewise, this time, Maruti has taken the advantage to launch the 'Onam' limited edition of Alto 800. Onam is a famous festival which is celebrated mainly in the southern parts of India with great zeal.
According to the reports, on the first day of Malayalam month (known as Chingam), the automaker had sold 3000 cars out of which 1000 units belong to the Alto model. This limited edition of Alto has been introduced with 15 additional features at INR 17,350 that is 26 % less as compared to the price of actual package. This package includes facilities like reverse parking sensors, power car charger, music system with speakers, Onam graphics, power car charger, designer seat covers with embroidered cushions, etc.
On this occasion, Maruti's Commercial Business Head of Southern Region, Mr Ram Suresh Akella was quoted as saying, “We are happy to present 15 new features as part of the Onam accessories to the customers at a special price. We are confident that the Onam Limited Edition Alto 800 will delight customers.” He also mentioned that Alto 800 is the highest selling Maruti car in the southern region.
