Piaggio India Launches Vespa SXL and Vespa VXL

Piaggio India has officially launched the updated Vespa scooters in the Indian two-wheeler market. The scooters have been launched in the presence of the company's new global brand ambassador and football player, Alessandro Del Piero. Both the scooters, VXL and SXL, will be sold in 125cc and 150cc engine option. The price of VXL 125 & 150 are Rs. 77,308 and Rs. 84,641 respectively, while the SXL 125 & 150 have been priced at Rs. 81,967 and Rs. 88,696 (Ex. Showroom Pune). The Vespa SXL is available in five stunning color options such as Orange, Matt Black, White, Matt Red and Azure Blue. The Vespa VXL is available in six colors that are Yellow, White, Red, Matt Black, Green and Maze Grey.

The new 150cc models are powered by a single-cylinder engine that develops 11.6 PS of power at 7000 RPM and 11.5 Nm of torque 5500 RPM. The new 125cc models use the same engine displacement that are currently sold in India in other Vespa variants. The 125cc engine produces 10 BHP of power and 10.6 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to CVT transmission.

Moreover, both the scooters have received a slew of cosmetic treatments with the Italian marque's retro character. The VXL and SXL have decorated with a redesigned front apron, updated instrument cluster with digital display, revised tail light and a chrome bezel around the headlight cluster, while the new turn indicators in the both scooters add mode beauty in its retro look. The scooter have come up with a host of stunning features like front disc brake, five spoke alloy wheels, broader tubeless tyres and well-cushioned seats. Moreover, the SXL model features a rectangular headlight with chrome finishing establishment, while the VXL gets circular headlamps with chrome finishing.

The Vespa SXL is available in five stunning color options such as Orange, Matt Black, White, Matt Red and Azure Blue. The Vespa VXL is available in six colors that are Yellow, White, Red, Matt Black, Green and Maze Grey.
