Pininfarina’s PFO: The Next Gen Futuristic All Electric Luxury Sports Coupe Teased

For performance race car lovers, the very scantily lit teaser images of the Pininfarina’s new electric offering would have sent chills down their spine. But more than the fans of the luxury sport car lovers, it is the gasoline-inhaling power sports car makers who could be forced for a transition even earlier than expected. Christened as the PFO, the electric hypercar has been designed with inputs from x-F1 driver Nick Heidfeld and a Formula-E driver. Powered by a 250 mph battery, the PFO claims a full charge range of 300 miles. It can also go from naught to 60 miles per hour under 2 seconds.

The teaser hints an eye-catching futuristic design. The niche design breathes class and seems to tickle all the right boxes as far as aerodynamics and looks go. The curvy two-seater comes adorned with single beam LED Lamps at the front and the rear. The raucous lines on the bonnet coupled with the steep glass roof further add to the appeal. Overall, the looks do complete justice to the whopping Rs 18 Crore price tag.

Under the hood, the powertrain responsibility is carried by a four electric motors arrangement capable of churning out 2000 bhp of power and cloaking maximum speed of 400 km h. Further, the compact lightweight design with top-notch aerodynamic design features like stepped windshields and the exposed fenders promise a high-speed performance matched by few in the budding electric space. However, PFO will first be unveiled in the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The concept car could make its on-road debut in the fag end of 2020.
