Porsche 911 Facelift Unwrapped Before Frankfurt Premier

The renowned automaker Porsche has recently unveiled the 911 facelift model before its scheduled global premier. The coupe will be displayed at the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show to be held on 15th of September. The new version of this model is going to carry a turbocharged powertrain in all the trims across its lineup. Furthermore, it will also bear changes on the cosmetic front so as to flaunt a more captivating look on the outside along with minor addition on the inside.

Discussing the exterior portion, this luxury car flaunts new wheels, revamped headlights, tail lamps and air ducts facilitating improved cooing. At the rear end, the air vents have been imparted a revised design that assist in providing more air to the engine, turbochargers and inter-coolers. Moving on to the interior, the elements and equipments are same except for a newly added Porsche Communication Management System. This unit comprises a touchscreen interface with gesture control and is compatible with Apple Car Play, Google Earth, and Streetview.

As far as the powertrain is concerned, a new 3 litre, 6-cylinder twin turbocharged engine will be fitted with the model. This motor generates 365 Bhp/450 Nm of maximum output in the Carrera model and output measuring 415 Bhp/500 Nm in Carrera S. For transmission, the engine is coupled to a 7-speed manual alongside a 7-speed DCT unit. Carrera can accelerate up to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds with the top speed of 294 km/h, while Carrera S can reach the same speed in less than 4 seconds topping at speed of 307 km/h.

It is anticipated that after being revealed at Frankfurt, the new Porsche 911 facelift will make its way to the global market for sale. As it will reach India as a CBU unit, its launch at Indian shores might get delayed.
