Porsche Pajun Concept Model to be Showcased at Frankfurt Auto Show

The automobile manufacturer Porsche is reportedly planning to showcase an electric concept car model at the Frankfurt Auto Show scheduled in September. The car that will be based on this concept is anticipated to be the upcoming sedan model Pajun. It is likely to be launched during the year 2017-18. Market reports say that this car is going to get shorter in length as compared to the Panamera model, which measures 5 metres in length. However, the styling cues and looks of this soon-to-be-revealed sedan will be inspired from Panamera Sport Turismo.

Discussing the mechanical configuration, engine will be equipped at the rear portion of the sedan offering space under the bonnet. There will be two versions of this vehicle including an electric unit and a hydrogen fuel-cell unit. These versions are likely to be named as Porsche 718 and Porsche 818 respectively. The electric battery equipped in the model contains two motors-one for each wheel. This is similar to the powertrain used in Audi R8 e-tron. The market is speculating that the fuel cell version of Pajun will be introduced as a limited edition model.

Porsche is also reportedly developing an induction charging system which will evade the need of cables and heavy sockets to get the car battery charged. This innovative and cleverly designed model is undoubtedly going to benefit the company. Rest of the details have not been disclosed yet by the carmaker. But, we are sure that the smart packaging utilised by this sedan will provide a competitive edge to the company as opposed to other rival models in the market.
