Porsche to Boost The Panamera: A More Powerful Hybrid Version on The Cards

The German-based luxury sports car manufacturer, Porsche has confirmed a new high performance hybrid member for the Panamera family.

If it is meant to be quick off the mark, no one can beat the furious Panamera in the hybrid segment. With the monstrous power of 462 hp and the 700 Nm of torque, the Panamera 4 Hybrid was recently displayed at the ongoing Paris Motor Show 2016 featuring a 2.9-litre bi-turbo V6 and an electric motor under the hood. But it does not stop the Panamera here, Porsche will soon unwrap a more powerful version of it.

When asked about the power figure of the upcoming car, Steiner played the cards close to his chest and did not reveal any details about the car except the top-end performance model throughout the Porsche range. He further added, “Today I’m not willing to tell you more, but it will be better performing than the existing one. Much more performance and agility and range”.

Sadly, Streiner also confirmed that the long Panamera Coupe is no longer a priority for the company. He said, “With a given funding or investment in research and development, we have to decide which will be the next step to take. From this point of view a coupe would not be in competition with other cars, but it would be in competition with other segments we could attract or move into”.
