RE Himalayan Under Recall Due to Engine and Clutch Issues

Reportedly, the cruiser bike maker- Royal Enfield is going to recall its recently launched Himalayan, though no official announcement about the same has been made yet. The Himalayan was exhibited earlier at the Auto Expo followed by the launch a while ago. While the bike was completely built from scratch said by the Indian automaker itself, reports suggest that engine and clutch issues are the prominent reasons for its recall.

Royal Enfield affirms for the replacement of both the parts with no cost at their authorized service centres. The Himalayan's engine gets an issue of clutch assembly and rocker shaft due to which it adds noise when the power accelerates up. Presently, no confirmation is there about how many RE models are affected and going to be recalled. The service centres have adjusted the tappets within the mill, tough no improvement has been seen.

Surprisingly, the clutch assembly has got issues as well, however, nothing was reported on its problem. The adventure bike is having a price of INR 1.63 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and available in two color options- Snow and Granite. The Indian giant has been tight-lipped yet about officially announcing the same problem, nevertheless, we might hear a word within a couple of days.
