Ready to Launch Hyundai Tucson Bookings Commence

Living up to its words, as the South Korean auto giant- Hyundai has made an announcement to launch at least two new vehicles every year. The company has recently launched its next-gen Elantra sedan and is all geared to roll out the upgraded version of its premium SUV, new Tucson on October 24 this year.

The closest sources from Hyundai has now provided information that the giant has unofficially commenced the bookings for the forthcoming SUV at selected dealerships. Desirable one can place its booking by paying the refundable token amount of Rs 25,000. As the information emerged from the sources, that currently brought up for the homologation purposes Tucson is available only in certain cities like Mumbai. The potential buyers who are contemplating for buying this SUV, can only witness the vehicle physically. The test drives facility is not offered yet.

Hyundai Tucson is built on the measured dimension of 4,475mm in length, 1,850mm in width and 1,645mm in height and with the excellent ground clearance of 2,670mm. Mechanically, it is expected to be offered in both diesel and petrol powered engine trims. The petrol powered variant is likely to pack with a 2.0-liter MPI four-cylinder engine that is capable of producing 152 PS power and 195 Nm of Torque. While the other diesel powered variant will get a 2.0 liter CRDi four-cylinder engine that generates multiple power outputs of 136 PS and 184 PS. Both the engine trims will be conferred with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission.

The highlighted features on the 2016 Hyundai Tucson include LED headlamp units, LED DRLs, twin exhaust, panoramic glass sunroof, 19-inch alloy wheels, 8-inch infotainment system with satellite navigation, advanced music system with 6 speakers, electronic parking brake, and six airbags.

Expected to be priced between Rs 20-25 lakh, the new Tucson will compete with the rivals like Honda CR-V, Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour in the Indian market.
