Recall Alert: Harley-Davidson Facing Clutch Related Issues

The issue of recall seems like increasing up at a higher pace these days as yet another automaker is facing the same problem now. Reportedly, the legendary American marque, Harley-Davidson is said to have an issue of the faulty clutch master cylinder in its variants and therefore, recalling 27,232 HD units.

Basically, the clutch in the affected bikes probably does not have enough potentials in generating the lift when it needs to be disengaged. If the bike has been parked for quite a long period, the clutch does not disengage completely and hence results in a crash. One of the symptoms can be examined when the bike is parked for an extended period, a lot of free play tends to start in the clutch lever.

When discussed with the automaker, there’s no such picture came in front regarding the damages or injuries to the motorcycles with the clutch master cylinder issue. Harley-Davidson has confirmed that it will ask the owner of the motorcycles itself and examine the bike thoroughly for the issue under discussion or anything else faulty. All the parts and accessories will be replaced and repairs will be done by the company free of cost.

The latest variants of the Electra Glide Ultra Classic, Electra Glide Ultra Classic Low, Ultra Limited, Ultra Limited Low, Street Glide, CVO Street Glide, Road Glide Special, Road Glide, Street Glide Special, Police Electra Glide, Road Glide Ultra, Softail Slim S, CVO Softail Pro Street Breakout, and the Fat Boy Special are on the recall list. By this time, we have heard the recall only in the USA and will keep you posted in case other countries come under the recall process too.
