It is time to have fun of monsoon.The fun just double, when we do bike-racing with our friends. Now, once again the Gulf Oil presents the adventure of the scooter rally in the monsoon, this month.The Gulf oil partners are going to start its 26th edition of the Monsoon scooter rally. The rally will organized on 9th August, 2015 at the backwoods of the Navi Mumbai.
The registration for this wonderful adventure was closed on 31 July, 2015 but considering the participant’s excitement, the Gulf Oil decided to extend the registrations to 5th August. Till 31 July 30 entries were registered out of total 45 entries. M.D of Gulf Oil Lubricants, Mr. Ravi Chawla, said, “With the sales of scooters growing close to four times faster than that of motorcycles in India, Gulf Oil’s aim is to be present at the points of consumption where scooter owners can choose to buy our product and experience superior benefits i.e. Instant pick-up (Insta Zoom). Our monsoon scooter rally is yet another such property to connect with our audience and build the brand relevance much stronger.”
The total race track of the Scooter rally is 25km through mud, slush and bog. Participants can register in three classes i.e. Class S1 (80-110cc & two strokes), Class S2 (110cc-160cc & two strokes) and Class FSG (up to 160cc & four strokes). The final winners will be honored by a Late Firdosh Wazirdar Trophy and prize of up to Rs 75,000.
In 2014, Gulf monsoon rally was successfully executed, where 36 riders participated. So, this rally is expected to see more number of participants. Last year, winner of the Golf monsoons scooter rally was R. Natraj of TVS Racing Team from Bangalore, participating this time too. Gulf Oil is planning to make the upcoming event exciting and successful.
