Renault Duster Petrol Automatic With A 1.5-Litre Engine Will Launch Soon in India

The Renault Duster, a volume-fetcher for the French Carmaker, made its debut in the Indian automobile industry in 2012, and until now it has been updated many times in the form of special editions. Last year, the facelift model of the compact SUV had also marked its presence here in the country.

Soon, the auto-major is going to bring a drastic change at powertrain end. It is going to add a new 1.5 litre petrol engine with an automatic X-tronic CVT, with 6-step semi-manual mode.
In a healthy condition, the mentioned powertrain is going to belt out maximum power of 106PS at 5600rpm and a peak torque of 142Nm at 4000rpm. Whereas, the returned fuel efficiency is claimed around 14.99Kmpl.

The ongoing Duster Petrol variant comes fitted with a 1.6 litre, 4-cylinder engine that exhales 104PS at 5750rpm and 148Nm at 3750rpm with the aids of a mated 5-speed manual transmission. Altogether, the trim is only available in a 2WD format. In terms of provided features the said model is being offered in RXE and RXL variants, which are tagged with price stickers of Rs 8.65 lakh and Rs 9.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The upcoming Duster petrol automatic is supposed to get a slight costlier price tag with an increase of Rs 1 lakh over the 1.6 litre petrol Duster RXL.
