Renault India, which is currently holding the 2.5 % market share in India is looking to expand its market to the 3.5 % in next 5 years. The company is making some plans to achieve this market and for that it'll launch 2 new cars in India by the next year. One of these cars will be MPV and one will be a small car. The MPV which is going to be launched could be named as Lodgy as it has been seen testing on the Indian roads too.
The officials of the company have said that the Renault is planning to double its market share within the next 2 years and for that they going to launch the 2 new vehicles by the year 2015. The company will also open the new dealerships and will increase the count up to 175 by the end of this year only. The company currently has the 5 products in the India, named as Fluence, Koleos, Pulse, Scala and Duster. Now, the MPV section may also get a vehicle to its name as Renault Lodgy.
The Renault Lodgy could a rival to the likes of Mahindra Xylo, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and other mid-sized MPVs with all its specifications and features. The Lodgy has been caught testing on the Indian roads and the expected date of the launch of this vehicle is could be near the month of November, and the small car which is also going to be launched, there is no information about that yet.
