Royal Enfield Bullet Electra Sales hiked By Three Times In May 2016

A keen look over the sales of India’s leading cruiser motorcycle maker, Royal Enfield, brings out the fact that not only the company's market share increased but also it received a hike in sales during past few months. Last month, RE overtook the Japanese giant, Yamaha got listed on 5th position in the bike makers sales index. Registered hike in sales, is owing to the increased demand of majestic RE Classic range, recently launched adventure tourer RE Himalayan and the expansion of Royal Enfield stores globally.

May 2016 has brought good time for the Royal Enfield, as the marque’s Twinspark Bullet Electra sales got hiked by three times with the sale of 4,647 units against 1214 units sale in April 2016. Proper and increase in supply to complete the demand is the probable reason behind the triples in Bullet Electra sales.

On mechanicals, the Electra bullet is loaded with a 346cc four stroke single cylinder air-cooled engine. The fuel injected engine pumps out the power of 19.8 bhp and 28Nm of torque to propel the comfortable cruiser. The engine is mated to a five speed manual gearbox with the aid of a wet multiplate clutch.

The Electra Bullet did not receive any major update besides the addition of two new colour option of maroon and blue. One can own the motorcycle at the price tag of Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). However, it is likely to be available after 45 days waiting period.
