Royal Enfield Official Website Revealed 2017 Himalayan FI India Launch

The Chennai based bike maker, Royal Enfield has recently added the fuel injected variant of its adventure tourer, the Himalayan, on its official Indian website. The said model was already made launched in the global markets such as the UK and the US, but with an advanced safety feature of ABS. Though, the Indian market will not be availed with this safety aids. But there are a lot of chances that company would further offer this facility as optional.

This newly launched fuel-injected Himalayan will continue to be powered with the same a 411cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that is capable of producing 24.5 bhp of peak power at 6500 rpm and 32 Nm of peak torque, similar to its carburettor injected version. The mill is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox transmission. However, there is a little difference in terms of performance of this newbie, it now produces max torque at 4250 rpm, against the 4000-4500 rpm range of the carburetor injected model.

If talks about the recently effected stringent BS4 emission norms, Royal Enfield has already updated its product lineup, but the upgradation of the carburetor injected Himalayan is not confirmed yet.

Apart from these countable changes, no other modification has been witnessed from the manufacturer end. But the taken off weight details of the carbed variant from the updated website is creating a suspense in the audience.

As mentioned on the website, the adventure tourer will continue to be offered only in two colour options of ‘Snow’ and ‘Granite’. Whereas, the pricing and other details are expected to updated soon. As expected, the deliveries of the Royal Enfield Himalayan FI will take place in May 2017.
