Royal Enfield Unveils LockStock, Off-Beat Motorcycle Based on Upcoming 650 Twins

The Eicher owned brand Royal Enfield unwrapped a factory custom motorcycle at an event in London organised by the Bike Shed Motorcycle Club. It is a drag spec model which is named as the Lockstock. Its development took place on the basis of most-sought RE’s upcoming RE GT650.

In terms of equipment, the Lockstock borrows components such as the engine and the fuel tank from going to be launched brand’s flagship the RE GT650 in future. Whereas, the components such as the handlebar, seat, body panels, tyres, suspension and the frame are a host of custom bits.

Cosmetically, the RE Lockstock is adorned with an LED ring neatly studded in a custom windscreen at the fascia. Moreover, this off-beat offering from the Chennai based manufacturer gets a custom mudguard, single seat, stylish six-spoke alloy wheels shod up with larger tyres and larger belly pans as well.

Based on a hardtail chassis, the motorcycle did not get any suspension setup. Also, its wheelbase is comparatively larger than the available RE bikes in the market. It helps in gaining better performance during a drag.

Besides, other mechanicals which is furnished in the Royal Enfield Lockstock custom motorcycle includes Ohlins front forks and a large single disc brake with Brembo sourced from four-piston callipers at the front, downward facing handlebar, steering damper on the left side and a custom underbelly exhaust. Furthermore, a NOS tank is also provided that is positioned behind the engine of the motorcycle.

However, the engine specs are not revealed by the Royal Enfield. Though, the packed sourced engine from the GT650 that is a 648cc parallel twin unit. It is claimed to return the peak power of 48 hp at 7,100rpm along with 52Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm. The mill is paired to a six-speed transmission in order to pass on the generated power to the rear wheel.
