Second-Gen Brio Honda Small RS Concept Launched In Indonesia

The Honda Small RS concept, second-gen Brio premiere placed at the Indonesia International Motor Show (April 19 - 29, 2018). Although the company has not unveiled much information about the car it is likely to get new platform which was launched with Amaze premier.

The new Brio looks sporty with bigger wheels, new body add-ons, and a huge spoiler. Similar to Amaze, the embossed headlamps have created a sleeker upswept unit. The production-ready RS concept has the same front face as the new Amaze just like previous. It is a very fresh update to the car as it is even not seen in the Indian market yet. Considering the side profile, it looks well-grown in size may be due to the addition of new platform. It added new tail lamps and rear is similar to the Tata Tiago.

Coming to the interior, it is likely to be same as the Amaze. In upcoming months, you can see the Brio in the Indonesian market. We expect the Brio to be launched in India by next year as Amaze, CR-V, and Civic are in line to launch by this year. The first-gen Honda Brio was not that successful in India. After that, the well-packaged rivals gave a tough competition to it and so the sells went down.

New-gen Brio competes against the Swift, i10 and previous-gen Figo, in the market. New Maruti Suzuki has been updated and now it is in a better avatar, whereas Grand i10 has retained the fame in the market till yet. The Ford Figo as well readies to get a facelift soon along with a new 1.2-litre petrol engine and updated features.

Previously, the Brio was in diesel engine choice, a small 175-liter boot space, and less rear cabin space. The recent Honda Brio is expected to take 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel. If this time again, it comes to diesel engine choice, we expect the sell of Brio riskier. If it carries forward the 1.2-litre petrol engine, it will also take a CVT like an Amaze.
