Skoda Completes 100,000 units Production of the Ongoing Skoda Superb

Skoda Auto has successfully rolled out 100,000 units of Superb model from its Kvasiny plant. The third generation Skoda Superb has been into the production lineup since March 2015. In total counts of all superb generations, Skoda has produced over 850,000 units of the Superb sedan till now.

Notedly, the third generation Skoda superb made its debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, following the later Indian debut in February this year. The 2016 Skoda Superb is said to be the automaker’s anticipated and advanced product. It is based on the latest MQB platform, offering generous cabin space equipped with hot value added features.

In India, the new Superb is available at a starting price of INR 24.67 Lakhs. The top model costs around INR 30.28 Lakhs (both ex-showroom prices). It has been offered in two engine options: a new 2.0-litre TDI motor is able to deliver a maximum power of 177 PS & 350 Nm of torque. The 1.8-litre TSI petrol engine produces 180 PS of power & 320Nm of torque.

The Skoda Superb will be soon coming up with its new flagship SUV named Skoda Kodiaq, which is rumored to be the automaker’s biggest hit product of the generation. It is expected to make global debut at the Paris Motor Show in October this year. The Kodiaq SUV will be based on the familiar MQB platform, and might also share the engine with the Superb.
