The Skoda Superb has an advantage as it provides both petrol and diesel engine options and its range (priced between Rs 25.59 lakh and Rs 32.99 lakh) undercuts its rivals like the Honda Accord Hybrid (Rs 43.21 lakh), Toyota Camry Hybrid (Rs 37.22 lakh) and Volkswagen Passat (Rs 29.99-32.99 lakh). The two Japanese models- Honda Accord Hybrid and Toyota Camry Hybrid are only available as petrol hybrids (that contribute to their higher asking price) while the German car- Volkswagen Passat is only on offer with a diesel motor. During the festive season, the mid-spec sporty trim should help the Skoda to increase the sale.
