Skoda Octavia Corporate Edition Launched At A Starting Price of INR 15.49 Lakh

Skoda has finally launched its Octavia Corporate Edition in the Indian Market. It comes in two variants - diesel and petrol - both manual. The former carries a price sticker of Rs 16.99 lakh while the later costs Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). It is the exclusive edition so will be offered to only the existing Skoda customers. If prices are to be seen, then as compared to the base Ambition variant, the Skoda Octavia Corporate Edition petrol costs Rs 50,000 less while the diesel variant costs Rs 1 lakh less.

The latest Skoda Octavia Corporate Edition comes under the entry-level version in the lineup which will be available in only Candy White paint shade. The equipment are more or less the same in both the Ambition variant and the Corporate Edition.

The Skoda Octavia Corporate Edition comes with the features like a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay, Android Auto and MirrorLink compatibility, beige upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, LED DRLs, 16-inch alloys, a cooled glove box, and rear parking sensors. In terms of the safety, the Corporate Edition is furnished with four airbags, hydraulic brake assist (HBA), ABS with EBD, motor speed regulation (MSR), anti-slip regulation (ASR), electronic stability control (ESC), electronic differential lock (EDL), and multi-collision braking (MKB).

The Octavia Corporate Edition is powered with a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol powertrain that produces 150hp of maximum power and 250Nm of maximum torque. The powertrain is married to a 6-speed manual transmission and the company claims that it gives out fuel efficiency of 16.7kpl. The Corporate Edition also comes powered with a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel powertrain that gives out 143hp of maximum power and 320Nm of maximum torque, which is coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The diesel-manual Octavia gives out a fuel efficiency of 21kpl.

The automaker is also giving the ‘Shield Plus’ plan along with the Corporate Edition in which the customer will get three-year Third Party Coverage After a Year's Comprehensive Insurance. Along with four-year warranty, it also gives the customers extended warranty for the fifth and sixth year or 1,50,000km (whichever is earlier) and 24x7 roadside assistance. The Skoda Octavia Corporate Edition competes with the rivals like the Hyundai Elantra, the Toyota Corolla Altis, and the Honda Civic which was launched recently.
