In the fight to be the best and give the best, not lacking behind of Volkswagen, Ford and TATA; Skoda is even stepping up with the new concept of sub four meter sedan.

Skoda is bringing sub-four meter car especially for Indian market. Sedan cars are most preferable choice in India , but due to their high prices sedans are not easy to buy, to cut down the price and overwhelm the Indian market with compact sedan ; sub-four meter cars were introduced which fairly cuts the tax duties from 27% to 12%. Every car with length of 4 meter or below will be classified under sub-four meter car category.

At first the all new Octavia was introduced in late 2013 which is followed by Superb facelift launched by Czech carmaker at Rs. 18.87lakhs which is quite an exciting price considering luxurious sedan. This make over will soon hit Skoda Yeti facelift.

Superb will have two variants- petrol and diesel engine. The new add ups will include 1.8liter direct injected engine with maximum power of 160ps with option of manual 6 speed clutch and automatic 7 speed dual clutch. The Diesel engine choice will have 2litre and four cylinder unit same as new Octavia with 320Nm maximum torque output and 6 speed dual clutch gear transmission. The all new look of Superb will be refreshed with new headlights and backlights comprising new design of front and rear bumper.

Considering the competitors, many top brands like Honda and Volkswagen have discontinued its variants which will make an easy way for Skoda to capture the market of luxurious sedans.
