SPIED: 2017 Mercedes S-Class Gets Revived Multibeam LED Headlights

The 2017 facelifted Mercedes S-Class has been caught on camera and the images have been produced online via walkoArt. Since its introduction in 2013, the sixth-generation Mercedes S-Class model W222 did not receive any transformation within three years. However, the development of mid-life facelift updated version is on the line, in Europe. Meanwhile, it made its presence with a noticeable update in a single glance, with new Multibeam LED headlights.

Apart from the updated version of Multibeam LED headlights, the 2017 S-Class gets updated taillights which look similar to the “stardust effect” taillights of the new generation Mercedes E-Class. Apparently, it’s exterior receives changes on the bumper and grills. While, the interior may receive some trim and more furnished options along with a new three-spoke steering wheel for the driver’s comfort and accessibility. Well, the interior details are still unknown.

However, the Multibeam LED headlights have been brought up first on the 2015 Mercedes CLS-Class facelift version in early 2014 by the carmaker. The used LED headlights comprised of 24 individually controlled LEDs which now further increased to 84 individually controlled LEDs. Reportedly, the further updated version of the Multibeam LED headlights, which is supposed to be installed in the facelifted S-Class may make its entry by the next year anytime.

Besides exterior and interior, the Mercedes S-Class can opt a new OM 656 six-cylinder diesel motor which will churn out the power of 340 hp and torque of 700 Nm. The other engines which propel the luxury Mercedes cars could witness some refinements for the enhanced mileage and less emission of toxic CO2 gas. The facelifted Mercedes S-Class is likely to be premiered at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017 and the expected Indian debut of this upgraded Mercedes S-Class may take place somewhere in the second half of 2017.
