After confirming the Indian launch date just a couple of days back, BMW India has finally launched its most anticipated M3 sedan and M4 coupe car in an event with the starting price tag of INR 1.19 Crore, ex-showroom. Both the cars have been spotted many times at various places in the world and people were just awestruck after watching the looks, performance specifications and other details. However, the engine specifications of both the cars are same and despite being more powerful than its predecessors, these new BMW M3 and M4 and are more economical in terms of fuel consumption and carbon emission.
Both of these M series cars will be powered by the same 3.0 Litre twin-turbocharged six cylinder V6 petrol mill that will churn out a maximum power of 431 bhp @5500-7300 rpm and top torque of 550 Nm @ 1850-5500 rpm. There would a 7-speed dual clutch transmission gear box that will send the generated power to its rear wheels. The top of the cars would be electronically limited to 250 km/h while the acceleration time would be 4.1 seconds to hit the 100 km/h from standstill.
The price for BMW M3 sedan has been set at INR 1.19 Crore Ex-Showroom and the M4 coupe would be charging INR 1.21 Crore Ex-Showroom. As said above, despite improving the power output, all new BMW M3 and M4 will be around 25% more fuel-efficient and will emit less carbon during its drive, thanks to the light material used in them such and aluminum chassis and carbon fiber.
