Suzuki GSX-R250 Patent Sketches Surfaced Online Via a leak

Patent pictures of a new entry level sports bike from Suzuki stable have surfaced online via a leak through motoring website-MCN. Highly speculated since first reported in 2015, as a new performance motorcycle from Japanese giant in quarter-litre sports tourer segment is in product lineup queue. The emergence of patent images has turned out as a confirmation of the speculations all around that a new 250cc motorcycle is definitely a Suzuki's underwork project. when launched, it will be entitled as GSX-R250 worldwide, while, in the Indian market, it will be produced under the moniker of Suzuki Gixxer.

Design-wise, it clearly seems from the drained out pictures, new Suzuki motorcycle is highly influenced from its elder sibling, Suzuki GSX-R1000. Aesthetically, fully faired GSX-250 get fitted with clip-on handlebars, split step up seats and center placed foot pegs which offer a sporty stance altogether a comfortable riding position on highway riding.

Built around the single downtube frame resembles Suzuki Gixxer platform, this bike might get a 250cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder unit as powertrain, which would be able to produce around 25 PS power with the mated six-speed transmission gearbox. Upfront, it may be suspended by a telescopic front fork and a mono shock will absorb shock at the rear end. Braking would be under the care of petal disc brakes at both wheels.

Expected to be unveiled globally by late 2016, Suzuki GSX-R250 might make it Indian debut by 2017. Once landed, it will lock horns with already existing sports tourer Honda CBR250R and track focused KTM RC200 in India.
