After introducing the Suzuki Gixxer over the Indian ground, the manufacturer has gone through a tight schedule. The firm has launched the Suzuki Gixxer in the month of September, 2014. The newly launched sports motorcycle has carried a waiting period for up to 3 or more than 3 months. The newcomer in the 155cc segment of motorcycles is completely inspired by the firm's well-famed GSX-R series of Super Bikes. The 155cc displaced engine is competing against the Yamaha FZ-FI and FZ-S-FI. Well, in terms of price and performance both, the Gixxer is beating the Yamaha FZ-FI series of motorcycles.
The firm has also introduced a scooter under the 110cc segment. The newly launched scooter is named as "Let's", carrying single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC engine. Now, following the success of these two new launches, the firm has decided to open-up new showrooms all-across the country. The places include major urban cities and some rural markets. To enhance the service facilities and the sales figures of the products, the firm is opening up new dealerships in the country.
Mr. Atul Gupta, Executive Vice President of Suzuki Motorcycles India Limited, says, "Our scooters are selling because we are present in the major urban areas. However, our motorcycle segment is currently weak because we are largely absent in the rural pockets, which are big markets. Hence, our priority is to aggressively expand our dealership base this year."
The two-wheeler manufacturer will be opening up 70 dealerships in the country. The Suzuki Motorcycles India is also planning to launch a fully-faired Gixxer. The faired Gixxer has been recently spied testing in Delhi. Now, let's see when the fully-faired 155cc displaced engine motorcycle will be coming on the Indian ground.
