The Suzuki Motorcycle India received so much appreciation for its product lineup in Gixxer segment. The automaker launched Suzuki Gixxer variants Gixxer (GSX-R-155) in September 2014 and Gixxer SF in April 2015 in 155cc displacement engine. The motorcycle manages to put an impressive sales figures on board every month. Moreover, Suzuki Gixxer has been honored with the title- bike of the year in nine categories presented by magazines and TV stations in India. Now the automaker is making plans to continue this success marathon by introducing updates and new product in the upcoming year.
Suzuki India introduced a skid plate that will protect the exhaust tube and the catalytic converter from coming in direct contact with the earth's surface. One need to buy silver polished skid plate as an accessory from Suzuki's dealership only at INR 1600. The skid plate can easily be fitted on the bike. When the suspension compresses due to heavy loads, Skid plate offer protection to the exhaust tube from being scratched at the uneven or off-road terrain.

Gixxer has been admired so much and become most popular naked street in the 150 segment motorcycle this year. Mechanically, the motorcycle gets the power of 14.6 PS at 8,000 RPM and 14 NM of torque at 6,000 RPM from a 155cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The motor is mated to a five-speed transmission to propel the power to the rear wheels.
The body structure and styling give the dynamic and sporty riding. The compact handlebar, deep well padded single seat and crunches on the fuel tank offer excellent adventurous riding posture to the rider. Besides the skid plate, Suzuki India is also testing for rear disc brakes variants in its Gixxer segment and can introduce them in early 2016. Rumors are also there that the new Gixxer 250 may be showcased at the forthcoming 2016 Delhi Auto Expo.
