Suzuki Launches 2016 Gixxer with Rear Disc Brake on April 15

One of the most reputed names in the international and domestic two wheeler market, Suzuki is gearing up to launch its updated Gixxer with rear disc brake on 15th April, 2016 in the Indian auto-mobile bazaar. The expected price of the new model will be about Rs 5,000 more than the existing model. The new variant of Suzuki Gixxer was exhibited at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The Japanese bike maker is also going to celebrate April 15 as Gixxer Day and organise a special event at the Ramjus College in New Delhi. The firm has also invited all Suzuki bike owners to the event.

Talking about the powering of the bike, the Gixxer gets the power from same four-stroke, single cylinder, air-cooled and 155cc unit that draws out a maximum power of 13.94 BHP and a peak torque of 14 NM. The powerhouse is connected to a five speed gearbox.

Apart from the rear disc brake, all features retain same. Moreover, the bike gets a new paint scheme-Black and Green that enhances its appeal among the Indian biker enthusiasts. The naked bike is incorporated with a digital instrument panel that carries a host number of detail trip meter, fuel gauge, odometer etc. Now, the bike will enhance your braking experience as it is going to be available with disc brakes at both ends.

There is no doubt that the Suzuki Gixxer is a better option in 150cc segment as it offers a better performance and a decent mileage of 63.5 kmpl. The bike competes against the its rivals such as Yamaha FZ-S, Honda CB Hornet 160R and Hero Xtreme.
