Suzuki Motorcycles has rolled out the refined iterations of the Gixxer and its faired sibling Gixxer SF in India. Complying BS-IV emission norms, the models are priced at INR 77,452 and INR 89,659 respectively, with a slight increase of around INR 1000 in pricing from the existing models. The mentioned rates are applicable only at the Delhi dealerships. Apart from this BS-IV engine update, the motorcycles also gained an Auto Headlamp ON (AHO) feature and new colour schemes for 2017 MY.
Last year introduced, top-end rear disc Gixxer variant has now become more appealing owing to get painted in dual tone paint schemes of red/black and blue/black along with new sporty graphics and a “Gixxer” decal on the fuel tank. Besides, a black colour option is also available in solid paint scheme. Along with an AHO feature, which is usual in newly launched and updated trims of two-wheelers, the new Gixxer also employs a clear lens tail light.
Heading towards the fully faired Gixxer SF model, it also received new paint job and AHO feature, but in place of Gixxer decal on the naked trim of the motorcycle, the Gixxer SF gets Suzuki logo in the new graphics across all colours-Metallic Triton Blue, Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Mat Black, and Pearl Mira Red.
On powering, both the models uses the same 155cc single-cylinder engine which generates 14 bhp of power and delivers 14Nm of torque through a mated five-speed gearbox. The top end trims of both the Gixxer (Rear Disc) trim and the Gixxer SF Fi are available to retail at INR 80,528 and INR 93,499 (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
