The Suzuki Swift has received a phenomenal 5 million sales worldwide with in a time period of 11 years and 5 months since the commencement of its sales. It was first launched in November 2004 and from then it has achieved a great success by being sold in more than 140 countries. As of now, the car has been manufactured in seven countries that comprise India also.
With information available, India is considered one of the best markets for this hatchback and accounts for around 54 percent of the sales that equates to about 2.7 Million units. Besides, the hot hatch has also been awarded many times including the title of the best car in India for two times.
In order to offer more options while using the same platform, the carmaker also designed its sedan version that has created a record breaking sales graph in both global and local markets. Although, the Indian automobile market is awash with a number of option, but still both swift hatch and sedan are slotted at the top of the list.
Currently, Suzuki has been offering many variants in both petrol and diesel engine options that have also been featured with a variety of styling and safety features. One of the latest 2017 Suzuki Swift model has also been surfaced online that comes with more light weight and upgraded features.
