Tata Harrier Showcased From Outside

In concept sketches, we have seen Tata Harrier SUV. The picture of SUV has been seen tested across India and even the official picture has been seen. But now the first picture of the production version of the Tata Harrier will be seen. In January 2019, the SUV will go on sale.

As Tata designers guaranteed, the Harrier took the look of H5X concept from Auto Expo 2018 that was shown in the model. There are few styling elements that has been cut down but the overall sketch is appealing. The slit-like headings (possibly LED units) and the layout of the grille has been removed which have been seen from Tata Motors. To Tata’s new Impact Design 2.0 philosophy, the Harrier is the first model that is to be designed. And one of the zenith is the important, three-dimensional ‘humanity line’ (Tata speak for the styling element that underlines the grille and headlights). The ‘tri-arrow’ pattern which is an internal component of the styling package is also present on the light and fog lamp enclosure lower down on the front bumper. Other elements at the front are-Chunky cladding and a scuff plate.

There is a slight curve to the tail-lights that are connected by a blackened element. A spoiler is at the top of the windscreen, and the smartly implemented cladding and brushed silver elements on the bumper gives a complete look to the car. There’s a lot of extra coating at the base of the doors while the overstated wheel arches is the element of impact Design 2.0 which gives the Harrier visual mass. Tata has not yet disclosed the wheel and tyre size but the pics seen indicates that 17-inches will be the norm.

Final photographs of final model’s cabin has not been disclosed yet by Tata Motors but previously it was stated that the Impact Design 2.0 cars will possess clutter-free and practical internals whose quality will be high. The Harrier will come as five-seater, however a seven-seat derivative (which will get its own name) is also in process.

With a 2.0-litre diesel engine (christened Kryotec by Tata Motors), Harrier will go on sale, and will also be accessible with the option of 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes.

Tata Motors already opened the booking for Harrier and the official launch will be taken by mid-January 2019 and deliveries will be started later that month. The Harrier’s on road price will likely be between 16-21 lakh as per the leaked information by internal communication of Tata Motor.
