Tata Hexa Likely to be Displayed at Delhi Auto Expo 2016

Tata is soon going to bring a premium crossover named Hexa in the Indian automobile market. The concept model has been showcased already at the Geneva Motor Show held earlier this year, in the month of March. Recently, the production spec has been spotted in the country during its testing. All this is indicating that the automaker may soon launch it probably at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo 2016. As we all know, Auto Expo is a really important affair for automobile giants. Hence, there are high chances that the all new Hexa will make its way to this event.

This upcoming model has been designed by joint efforts of company's Pune, Italy and UK with designing cues from Land Rover. Underpinned by Aria platform, this vehicle measures 4,764 mm long, 1,895 mm wide, 1,780 mm tall and carries a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. The fascia is adorned with projector headlamps, chrome grille in honeycomb mesh pattern, flat bonnet and a bumper with aluminium plats. Other exterior elements include 19-inch rims, body cladding, turn indicators integrated on wing mirrors, dual exhaust tips and much more.

Under the hood will be found a 2.2 litre, 4-cylinder, VARICOR diesel motor tuned to generate 154 Bhp and 400 Nm of maximum output. Transmission might be taken care of by a 6-speed transmission unit in either manual or automatic version. Talking about the drive setup, the gearbox will be linked to either an RWD or an AWD mechanism. It is anticipated that the Hexa is going to be priced at INR 10-14 Lacs (ex-showroom) and could be a potential threat to Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and the likes.
