Tata Hexa SUV Launched at INR 11.99 Lakh

The much-anticipated SUV from Tata Motors, Tata Hexa is here! The domestic carmaker has launched the SUV today at a starting price of INR 11.99 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Booking for the Hexa SUV began in November last year and since then it garnered lots of attention. The Tata Hexa shares some significant design clues from the Aria crossover. The carmaker has brought this new SUV to take over prominent rivals like Toyota Innova Crysta and Mahindra XUV500.

Talking about the mechanical fittings, the SUV is packed with a 2.2-litre Varicor diesel engine, which is available in two formats. The base variant XE delivers a maximum power of 150PS along with a peak torque of 320Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. All the other variants - XM, XMA, XT, XTA and XT 4x4 offer 156PS power and 400Nm torque. The XMA and XTA come with a 6-speed auto box, the other three variants get a 6-speed manual gearbox. Tata Hexa Interior

The Hexa comes loaded with an array of standard features. Even the base XE model offers amazing features like dual-airbags, ABS+EBD, all-wheel disc brakes, all four power windows, manual AC with rear vents for all three rows, 12V power sockets on the front two rows, cooled upper glovebox, 6-speaker sound system with ConnectNext tech, projector headlights and LED taillights. Meanwhile, the upper variants XM and XMA variants get rear parking sensors, heated wing mirrors, Harman touchscreen infotainment system with voice recognition, ambient lighting, 8-speaker sound system, super drive modes (XM), hill hold control (XMA) and sports mode (XMA).

The top trim Hexa comes in three derivatives - XT, XTA and XT 4x4. All three variants have received Tata’s complete equipment mentioned in the brochure. The list includes 19-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, roof rails, chrome accents on the outside and fog lamps with daytime running lights. The four-wheel-drive system has been offered only with the XT 4x4 variant.

The company will also offer predefined customization kits named Tuff, Luxe and Expedition and other accessories. The waiting period for the new Hexa will be around 8 weeks.
