The Speed Merchants, guys with customized bikes, had recently showcased their all new customized motorcycle, i.e. the Harley-Davidson Street 500 Flat-Tracker. The team of Speed Merchants is specifically in customizing the Triumph and Harley-Davidson company build motorcycles. And, their latest creativity is the new HD Street 500 along with a flavor Flat-Tracker theme. Well, whether it is a new motorcycle or the old one, it really doesn’t matter. According to Brandon Holstein, the new Custom built HD pays a tribute to the racing heritage of all the models. The new HD Street 750 and 500 models are specifically designed for the beginners and female riders or for those who have always dreamt of owning a HD motorcycle.
What new features did Harley-Davidson Street 500 Flat Tracker received?
The first and foremost thing in HD Street 500 Flat-Tracker is that it had lost around 22 kg of weight, which directly means that it had become a light weighted motorcycle. Now, starting from the front, the bike is completely stripped and many such has been removed from the new design as it comes under a light weight theme.
The new customized motorcycle has received newly designed wheels with steel wire spokes. New and adaptable front forks with top-end adjusters were also being introduced. The front forks were supplied by Huntington Beach. The braking system in the customized bike has been taken care by Tokico brake caliper system. The height of fuel tank has been raised and a negligible kind of custom built aluminum rear fender was achieved. The headlamps of this new motorcycle got a off-center position along with a radical touch.
Now, here comes the battery, the new custom-make bike was introduced with a lightweight antigravity battery, which was placed inside a custom battery holder. The Ohlins, from United States also coupled with the project and helped with the dual piggyback taller rear shocks. The chassis of this motorcycle was completely refurbished to give the motorcycle a different and new look, without the stuffing of wires.
Last but not the least, and the most important one is the chain drive, which was supported with an EK Chain and a Super Sprox rear sprocket. The tail pipe was also being updated which includes a 2" core muffler from Cone Engineering. The unique V-Twin engine remains unchanged and in perfect condition.
