Toyota Introduced Etios Platinum Edition In India

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the Etios Platinum Limited Edition which obtains more premium features. The Toyota Etios Platinum edition in the country is priced at Rs. 7.84 lakh (ex-showroom, India), whereas the diesel variant is available at Rs. 8.94 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Platinum limited edition premium takes similarity to the Sedan concerning new paint scheme, additional infotainment features, and dual-tone upholstery. In mechanicals, you will see no changes. The Platinum edition is concerned with the Etios sedan only and is not available with the Etios Liva hatchback.

The Toyota Platinum Etios Limited Edition obtains Pearl White and new Phantom Brown color schemes. As the last update was done in last year, there is no information regarding the cosmetic updates yet. The interior is leveled up with the new dual-tone upholstery in order to go well with the exterior color, and fresh armrest pattern. Further, the addition is of USB, Bluetooth connectivity, AUX supports, a 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, remote control, and voice recognition make it more attractive. Unlike the competitors, it doesn't include Android Auto or Apple CarPlay connectivity.

This new edition is available with both petrol and diesel versions. The petrol model is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine which produces a peak power of 89 bhp at 5600 rpm and a peak torque of 132 Nm at 3000 rpm. Further, the diesel edition obtains power from a 1.4-litre four-cylinder D-4D motor generating 67 bhp of power at 3800 rpm and 170 Nm of peak torque at 1800-2400 rpm. Both engines come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

Whereas the Etios is sold in big numbers, the company aims at the Yaris sedan as well. The model was shown during Auto Expo 2018 and expected to launch in April this year. Yaris model will be available only with a petrol engine and expect pre-booking begins from March 2018.
