Toyota Revealed Interior of the Upcoming Crossover C-HR

It was 2014 Paris Motor Show, where Toyota had released the first teaser of its upcoming crossover model. Christened as C-HR, formerly known as Coupe High-Rider was also previewed at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show to reveal some of its design elements and outlines. Now, leaving behind the expectations from the upcoming Paris Motor Show, the carmaker has lifted the veils from its interior design and features.

Coming to the details, the interior is greeted with a sporty layout that will make it unique in its segment. Considering all the needs of the driver, the Toyota design team has incorporated “high tech functionality in a sensual and magnificent style.” Inside, you will also get to notice piano black theme, and better upholsteries.

The dashboard is fully dominated by a blue streak that out spreads across the length of the dash and also stretched to the side door panels. Besides, it is also furnished with value added amenities such as Touch 2 infotainment system, touch screen display, rear view camera and 9-speaker sourced from JBL sound system. There is a choice of three different color options for the interior namely, Dark Grey, Black-Blue and Black-Brown.

Underneath the hood, the C-HR will be packed with a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine along with a hybrid motor option. The latter will be inspired from the same trim that is currently running under the bonnet of Prius hybrid, which has a displacement of 1798 cc and generates 73 kw of power and 142 Nm of torque.

Based on the Toyota's New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform, it will be slotted between the Auris TS and the RAV4 and will first target the European markets. While the pre-booking of the car will start from September, the launch is going to happen by the end of this year. There aren't much details about the India based model but we can also expect it here later.
