Toyota Showcase First Hydrogen Fuel Cell Car Mirai at 2016 Auto Expo

Auto Expo held every year gives humongous opportunities to the car makers to showcase their products and Toyota grabbing the same has now showcased its first ever hydrogen based fuel cell car dubbed the Toyota Mirai at the ongoing Auto Expo 2016 held at Greater Noida. It also got revealed in the Los Angeles Auto Show back in 2014. It has been designed with a carbon-fibre that itself is wrapped in three layers of hydrogen fuel tank that avoid leakage and in the case of collision, sensors immediately stop the flow of hydrogen.

It works on an advanced technology of combination of both the gas stored in reinforced tanks which get fused with oxygen to produce electricity responsible for the movement of the car. It is a hydrogen fueled car with a 3.7-litre petrol engine that comes mated to AISIN AW and DENO, at the rear as well as front side and produces a whooping power of 100PS.

Safety plays an important role in the selling of product and hence Toyota has equipped this model with various safety features that include Traction Control, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, Brake Assist, Pre-Collision System and Eight airbags. Additionally, it also gets an Anti-lock braking system and Dynamic radar cruise control for sleek movement.
