Toyota to Launch its New Prius in India in Early 2017

The Japanese automaker Toyota had first introduced this ground-breaking hybrid here in the country in 2010, but, discontinued after some time due to poor sales. However, the rapidly evolving demands of the hybrid model determined the company to reappraise the unit in the market. Hence, combined with a petrol engine and an electric motor, the new Prius hybrid is going to make its presence again in the Indian car segment in early next year, almost a year after its official debut at the 2016 Auto Expo. Under the nameplate of the fourth generation, the car has also garnered 5-star safety rating in the Euro NCAP crash test.
