Toyota to Start Online Sale of Spare Parts in India

The automobile giant Toyota Kirloskar Motor has reportedly decided to start the online sale of spare parts for different models in India. As per the market reports, this decision has been taken in order to serve the purpose of a programme aiding enhanced satisfaction to the customers. Initially, this project will be started in Bengaluru by this week and will be eventually carried forward in other metro cities as well by the next year. At present, there are 1 million customers of Toyota in the country and the company is planning to focus on fulfilling the needs of this audience.

The Vice-Chairman and Whole Time Director of TKM, Mr Shekhar Viswanathan, was quoted as saying, “We have a total of one million customers in India and our primary aim is to make them satisfied and loyal. Our new initiative of making spare parts available online is aimed at making it easier for them.”

Firstly, all those components will be put on sale, which need to be changed frequently and can be easily installed. The customers will be able to fix these parts with the help of a local workshop without having to travel to the company's service centre. A total of 400 units are being prepared under this project including more than 30 accessories like fan belts, oil filters and wipers.

The automaker is hopeful that if this initiative brings on favourable results, more customers are likely to be associated with this entity in the near future. Reportedly, the delivery process is also going to be localised so that the items can be delivered quickly by the dealers. This will also assist the tech savvy crowd to get easy access to the required components through web.

Currently Toyota sells a wide range of models in Indian automobile market like Innova, Etios Liva, Etios Cross, etc.
