Toyota To Stop FJ Cruiser production by August This Year

 

Toyota has confirmed that the production of the retro-inspired FJ Cruiser will be stopped by August this year. The company has not been doing so well in the limited market and the demands didn't worked in the favour.

The FJ Cruiser was introduced way back in 2005 Detroit Auto Show as an off-roader. The vehicle was inspired by the renowned cult classic FJ40 Land Cruiser. The slaes reports reveal that the automaker has successfully sold around 11,000 units of the Toyota Land Cruiser in Australia since its launch.

Toyota has closed the operation for the FJ Cruiser in the North American dealerships a year back . But, the sales continue in Japan, China, Australia, and the Middle East, which hold a good demand and popularity for this rugged off-roader SUV.

The Toyota FJ Cruiser is currently available in a single trim option and comes with a price tag of $46,990 (INR 22,93,815) . It offers seven exterior colour options: French Vanilla, Red Fury, Sandstorm, Cement, Ebony, Retro Blue, and Hornet Yellow.
