Innova Crysta - Technical Upfront
Toyota preferred to place a single diesel engine in Innova Crysta’s B6 version, with the fat 2.4-litre capacity. The car is designed in a way to match recently introduced B6 norms with the help of the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system and a Diesel Particulate System (DPF). Toyota’s current venture is restricted from 174hp and 2.8-liter diesel unit which is generally granted with an automatic gearbox due to its low-key prices and budget check in India.
Everything except the 2.4-litre diesel unit remains the same which could previously only be had with a 5-speed manual gearbox – now also comes with the option of a 6-speed automatic gearbox. No cosmetic changes and not many alterations in the mechanism, the car is all set to make you feel at home with its traditional essence.
