Triumph Motorcycles to Shift Karnataka Manufacturing Unit in Haryana

Triumph Motorcycles, the British motorcycle manufacturer, finally dropped out its plan of setting up a new manufacturing unit in Karnataka. And now the firm will establish the same facility in Manesar district of Haryana. The various high-profile automakers already having their production facility in Manesar and many more are going to introduce them in evolving industrial state of Haryana.

Reports says, the Karnataka project was passed long time back in 2012. The company were going to invest a huge amount of Rs. 850 crore in two phases for owing a 30-acre piece of land in Narasapura Industrial area, Kolar district. The place is around 50km in distance from the IT hub of Bengaluru. Unfortunately the state government’s uncooperative behaviour turn out to be the cancellation of deal between the duos.

The company is now asking for refund of paid amount to the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) for the land acquisition. Keeping in mind, the sensitivity of the matter, the automaker did not make any official comment.

It really does make sense as the Triumph Motorcycles already having the CKD assembly unit in Manesar and expanding it into a production facility will be a beneficial step for the giant. Reports also suggests four other big brands also thinking over to recollect all its invested amount due to the happened land controversies with the British manufacturer.
