TVS Akula (Apache 310) Spied Undisguised With LED Headlights; Launch by Mid-2017

TVS Akula (Apache 310), which was showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, is a resultant of TVS-BMW collaboration. Since its unveil at the event, the Sports runner is a matter of discussion in the Indian enthusiasts. During this time period, the motorcycle has marked its appearance in front of masses through leaked spied images. Recently, a few days ago, it was snapped completely naked without any camouflage on it, in two colour options blue and grey.

The latest spy shots of a matte grey coloured test mule has been provided online via an Indian motoring forum, Xbhp, which are showcasing the mule doing runs on a bench.

From the recent surface images, the Akula 310 is decorated with lower placed split headlamps with LED DRLs over them. The way headlights are studded on the front massive fascia, it offers a sporty look to the track runner. Other than this, it is equipped with golden coloured USD front forks, funky LED taillamp in inverted omega form. Tall and muscular fuel tank with chiselled knee recess provide aggressive appeal to this upcoming Apache. One of the surfaced snap give us a hint of advanced safety feature of ABS.

On powering front, the Apache 310 will use the similar powertrain of BMW G310R, a 313 cc single cylinder engine. However, the power and description will be same or be tuned to support the sports bike’s performance, not confirmed.

Here, the Akula 310 or Apache 310 was supposed to launch early this year, but a recent report is suggesting its arrival sometimes in mid-2017, may be in July. Post launch, the motorcycle will go head to head with the contenders such as Bajaj Dominar 400 and Mahindra Mojo in this power segment.
