TVS Apache 200 Arrival Scheduled for 2015 Festive Season

The Indian-based two-wheeler maker, TVS Motor Company Ltd, will launch the next generation Apache in India. The TVS Draken X21 based motorcycle likely to be launched near the festive season. Anandakrishnan R, President-Director of PT TVS Motor Company Indonesia, has stated that the next generation sports motorcycle is expected to be launched by the end of 2015. "The Apache Model 200, inspired by the concept Draken. But we still will see economic development in Indonesia, "said Anandakhrisnan. Moreover, the Draken X21 concept has made its appearance at the 2014 Auto Expo and since then it has been in the talks of the sports motorcycle enthusiasts.

The Apache 200 will be powered by a 200cc liquid-cooled and single-cylinder engine which will report 28 BHP of power and 20 Nm of torque, and the engine will be mated with a six-speed transmission. This power output will be able to give tough competition to the rivals of the same range. In terms of style and look, the new Apache will be the exclusive model of TVS with an aggressive design, whereas the body curves and cues inspired by the Draken concept. The most noteworthy feature of this motorcycle is its snub headlight design with LED and 'Bull-Horn' shaped taillights along with blinkers.

The braking duties will be measured by front and rear petal disc brake, whereas the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) will be optional in the motorcycle. This model will be featured with front telescopic suspension and read mono-shock absorber. Featuring with a dynamic tech spec, the quarter-litre motorcycle will compete with Bajaj Pulsar 200NS, KTM Duke 200 and forthcoming Hero HX250R.
