TVS Apache RTR 180 Rendered as Semi-Faired RS Concept

Oberdan Bezzi, a popular Italian moto sketch maker, has rendered a speculative image of ongoing TVS Apache RTR 180, here in India, and in other export markets as well. It is a semi-faired RS concept of the naked streetfighter in question. Purely developed on the basis of imagination, the RS concept is a best mix of several prominent bikes of biking world, includes Pulsar 220F, Yamaha FZ, and a bit essence of Yamaha and BMW superbikes.

If the powertrain of the concept is considered, it is equipped with the same powertrain, a 177cc single cylinder engine that performs propelling duties on the outgoing TVS Apache RTR 180. Mated to a five speed gearbox transmission, engine pumps out the maximum power and torque figure output of 17.03 bhp and 15.5 Nm respectively.

As everyone is aware of Apache share in the TVS Motor’s overall sales, the brand is doing pretty well in the market. However, the company did not get much benefit from the facelift update implied on the Apache 160 and 180 models. So, in order to boost the brand’s demand in the entry level sportbike segment. The bike maker is looking forward to bring next generation models of the regular models.

Spied Apache RTR 160/180

Aesthetically, the new generation Apaches will be featured with an array of components borrowed from the RTR 200 including headlamp assembly with LED DRLs, digital instrument cluster, massive fuel tank with extensions, split seats, LED tail lamp, and exhaust system. However, there is possibility that the compact engine siblings might not get a clip-on-handlebar of the flagship motorcycle. Moreover, the suspension set up comprises of Kayaba supplied front forks and rear mono shock, can take place in the updated Apache RTR 160 and 180 along with purposely developed Remora rubber tyres.

On the mechanical front, the new TVS Apache RTR 160 and TVS Apache RTR 180 could get a 4-valve cylinder head to more power and torque generation. Apart from this, a more advanced safety feature of dual-channel ABS is also plausible as an optional extra onto the both trims.
