TVS Receives Air Injection System Patent, Reduce Emission and Increase Fuel Economy

India’s third largest two wheeler maker, TVS Motor Co.has received a patent for its newly invented an air-injection system which becomes operative while automobile engine decelerates. Claimed to reduce exhaust emissions and increase fuel efficiency by reducing fuel supply at the time of deceleration.

TVS had filed for the invention patent called air injection system in 2008 and the first examination report (FER) was issued to the company in 2014. Before the invention patent granted to the company, a hearing was offered in April 2016.

M Ram Jawahar, assistant controller of patents & designs, Chennai, while receiving the patent said, “Having considered all the facts, submissions made by the applicant and as well as all the documents on record, I hereby order this application to proceed further for grant of patent as there is no pre-grant opposition pending under Section 25(1) of the Patents Act, 1970.”

The Chennai based two wheeler maker has also received another patent for an invention pertaining to a lubrication mechanism for the crankcase assembly of vehicle . As per the company, the new invention produces combined splash and shower lubrication effects using a single drive mechanism, that end up the need of a separate pump.

TVS Motor company is continuous on the track of success and offering new products with advanced technological refinements to the audience. However, In April 2016, after two years, unfortunately lost its third place from the Bajaj in the automobile market. The company is currently launching its recent products-new Apache RTR 200 4V and Victor, phase wise and the joint venture developed BMW G 310R i s also in the queue to launch in the market this year along with fully faired Akula 310 which will made its presence after BMW G 310R.
