As the deadline for Goods and Services Taxes (GST) implementation is coming closer, the two-wheeler manufacturers across the country are offering lucrative pre-GST discounts on the retail price of their products. The bike makers such as the Bajaj Auto and the Royal Enfield have already announced price cuts to pass on pre-GST benefits for their potential customers. An another auto major from America which introduced to the Indian biking industry a few years back has also joined them.
UM Motorcycles, which consists of only two motorcycles in its product lineup, the Renegade Commando and the Renegade Sport S, are offering price cut ranging from Rs 4,000 to Rs. 5,600. The exact discounted amount will depend on the model and the state in which products are being sold.
It will be easier to understand from an example, if you purchase the Renegade Sport S priced at Rs 1,78,518 (ex-Pune), you will get the benefit of Rs 4,199.01 on this mentioned retail price. While, the Renegade Commando purchase which is priced at Rs 1,84,397 (ex-Pune), will avail you the price cut of Rs 5,684.29. These announced price cuts affected immediately by the dealerships.
