UM Motorcycles Increases Renegade Range Prices in India

Introduced at the last year Delhi Auto Expo, the American motorcycle manufacturer, UM International LLC with its official co-partner, Lohia auto, has stated the increment in the prices of its Indian lineup. The Commando and Sports S products of the solely available Renegade range in India will observe a price hike of 5 percent. With this enhancement, earlier available at INR 1.59 lakh, the Renegade Commando will now be accessible at INR 1.64 lakh, with a leap of INR 5k. Whereas, the Renegade Sports S, on the other hand, will be retailed at INR 1.57 lakh with a rise of INR 8K in pricing. All the prices are applicable at the dealerships.

Mr. Rajeev Mishra, Director, UML said on the price revision matter, “This price revision is on account of increase in the cost of raw material and another cost of operations. We have rationalised the costs, but taken care that impact is minimal. We also continue to offer finance at attractive interest rates for customers to enter the brand.”

Mechanically, share the same powertrain of 280cc single cylinder engine, the Renegade Commando, and the Renegade Sports S gets the maximum power of 25bhp and the peak torque of 21.8Nm with the mated gearbox assembly. The Renegade Commando is armed with a 6-speed gearbox. Whereas, the Renegade Sports S is in association with a 6-speed synchronized mesh for easy cruising.

As common featuring, both the Renegade motorcycles are blessed with electric start facility. While the Sports S, is uniquely fitted with LED lights as standard fitment.

By the mid of 2017, Renegade lovers could also witness the emergence of third and more premium offering, the Renegade Classic in the Indian product portfolio.
